Japan Sales Director
The Japan Sales Director is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for leading and managing all sales activities in Japan. This position will oversee the development and execution of strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, while also maintaining and strengthening relationships with Global JOEM accounts. As the Country Sales Leader for Japan, the successful candidate will be instrumental in driving market expansion, fostering customer loyalty, and ensuring alignment with our global business objectives.
KEY Responsiblities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall sales strategy for Japan, aligned with the company's global & Regional goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive strategies across departments.
2. Global JOEM Account Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key Global JOEM partners, acting as the primary point of contact for these accounts in Japan.
- Negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and ensure contract terms are met or exceeded.
- Identify new business opportunities with existing and potential Global OEM clients, working collaboratively to expand partnerships.
3. Market Intelligence & Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs specific to the Japanese market.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and market dynamics that may impact sales strategies.
4. Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Japanese market, leveraging both online and offline channels.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products or services tailored to the local market.
- Build a robust pipeline of prospects and convert them into loyal customers through effective sales techniques.
5. Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop a talented sales team capable of delivering exceptional results.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
6. Manage Routine Sales Management Activities
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and sales targets in line with company objectives.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and adjust strategies as needed to meet financial goals.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with financial policies.
- Review and check the VPM material, support sales team to follow up VPM process to award new projects.
- Coordinate project team to meet project milestone, guarantee project SOP on time.
- Quarterly review sales turnover, Auto marketing situation, competitor’s activities, update sales forecast to reflect into VMIS and GBO system.
- Define and Track Sales team’s KPI according to company’s target and be responsible for the results, including Order Intake, AR Overdue, Profit Improvements, Project Execution and so on.
7. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and establish thought leadership.
- Maintain open communication with senior management, providing timely updates on sales progress, challenges, and successes.
Position requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Diploma: Bachelor above and commercial or engineering background
- Working Experience: More than 10 years Sales team leader experience, more than 5 years’ experience with electronic products, more than 10 years’ experience to manage top JOEMs, proven experience to deliver the outstanding performance for the company
- Have leadership skill.
- Agile in JOEM marketing requirement and setup sales strategy.
- Familiar to JOEMs sourcing process, find out key persons in the sourcing process.
- Have good network with JOEMs middle and top-level managers.
- Have ability to develop talent sales expert and managers.
